Nice place and 5 minutes from the beach. We really enjoyed our stay.

The second you step foot into Gearhart by the Sea you are overwhelmed by the smell — the maximum amount of mustiness. It was the equivalent of sleeping in my grandmother’s attic. Even with all windows open and fans running, it was horrible. If you have allergies, a lung condition, children at risk, or anything similar — do not stay here! Further, several towels were dirty upon arrival, some even with blood stains. The shower did not drain during use. Also, the company that rents outs the condo requires you to sign additional paperwork beyond the airBnB agreement. While this is generally fine, they have broken airBnB’s policy by not explicitly stating in the posting description that they will ask you to do this. When I called to ask about this, they had no idea it was a policy breach. Overall, I do not recommend. A sketchy establishment in vast need of deep cleaning, amenity updates, and changes in order to meet the policy of the booking site they chose to utilize. :(

All but one item was wonderful. Great place. Great views. Great surrounding attractions. The only problem was the living room TV remote control did not work properly. We could not change the channels. All we could get was Fox News. It was so bad it nearly made me want to jump off the balcony.

The place is a great location with nearby restaurants and walking distance to the beach. However, the place is in need of major upgrades.

Check in and communication were good. People were pleasant. I have never stayed in this area before so not sure if it is a good value for surrounding area. It looks better in the pictures. We were there for 2 nights. Loved the area and short walk from beach. The surfaces were of counters and sinks and bathtubs were clean. However, the floor was filthy. Obviously swept but not mopped for a long time. The laminate floors were good at hiding the ground in dirt. My 2 year olds feet were black from walking in there in a short period of time… my daughter in laws socks were black as were mine. The baseboards were dirty as well. Host texted to check if everything was good or if we needed anything. I told her about floors and she said she would have someone in the clean them but never no one ever came to clean them.

GHBS was very responsive to all my questions. We enjoyed our stay and wish we could've stayed longer.

Everything was wonderful. It was just a little further from the beach than what we thought it was going to be.

We only stayed one night. Not much to walk to but some things within a mile. The beach was close and perfect for a night meeting up with friends.

The house was clean and had everything we needed to cook dinner and breakfast. Great location to go down for a beach bonfire.

We all enjoyed staying in Gearhart and our condo was cute and comfy with a great ocean view. Great food at Mcmenamin’s and a wonderful sunset fulfilled our trip!

Location was perfect, path right to the beach. Unit was very clean and just what we needed.

We were pleased except we werent informed of change until we arrived and bummed about no hot tub that was my only search filter when i looked was it had to have a hot tub and orriginal booking had one. The condo was great though and super clean ty

This was our third stay at Gearhart by the sea. The condo is perfect with nice view of ocean, quiet neighborhood , and plenty of elk right outside your balcony.

Close to Seaside, not too many stairs and roomy accommodations.

Clean and well stocked unit. A bit outdated, but met our needs.

I know you can’t control the weather but good job on that! It was perfect!

Everything was fine except individual room heating was challenging as thermostats were either missing or difficult to control; Several kitchen outlets did not function

We had a great time! Our fishing trip got cancelled but we decided to still come and have a getaway. Instead of 5 it was just us 2. The property is great, the condo was just as described. Hairdryer, shampoo, body wash and conditioner provided along with anything else you could need. We want to come back to this condo annually. We saw the elk and the property was clean and exactly as described in the ad. I love the way they made the games a part of their decor. If you book this condo you won’t be disappointed.

Just as promised on the internet. Surprisingly well stocked kitchen and everything was very clean.

We loved our stay - everything was very comfortable and clean, all the amenities we needed, great vibe, and the view couldn’t be better.

Truly enjoyed our stay. Location was perfect for me and my kids. This portion of our vacation was done without my husband. It was truly peaceful and felt safe. I was not comfortable alone with the kids in Portland. I am so glad we headed out to the coast. The condo was a perfect space for us all to spread out. We enjoyed the super close location to the beach. There were lots of eating places nearby and it was convenient to Haystock Rock, Cannon Beach and Ecola State Park.

Very good. Prefer top floor as it has better view, but first floor had some view of ocean. Don’t miss the cafe in downtown Gearhart! Excellent food!

The area is really nice and quiet. The condo is a great location, easy access to the beach and having McMenamins so close was great. The condo is older and could use some minor repair/update, but overall a great place to stay. By the way, for those of you wondering, it does not have a Keurig, so be sure to bring ground coffee for the Mr. Coffee. :) :)

We booked this condo the day before for a weekend getaway. Having a kitchen and 2 bedrooms was a must for us with our 2 1/2 year old. The property was a short walk from the beach and the kitchen was fully equipped, so we were able to cook most of our meals. It was very clean and quiet. We only used the pool once, but it was indoors and we had it all to ourselves. Only an 8 minute drive to downtown Seaside and the street it’s on has a stoplight onto 101 which was nice. We didn’t realize but the property is right next to a McMenamins and we ate at the restaurant there (it was super delicious ). We can’t wait to stay here again!
